Drop Western Rigging and Center Fire Rigging

The chart below shows how to use the Center Fire Rigging. The Yancey and many other saddles are built with this rigging that self adjusts. If you do not like this rigging and prefer the ease of a drop western rigging, consider the converter shown at the bottom of the page.

The Drop Western Rigging Converter is an add on to the Kuda or Yancey saddle. It gives the same even distribution of tightness from front to back of the saddle, but is much easier to cinch for people who have little strength. The center ring can be moved back and forth before cinching the saddle tight to position the cinch at the desired place. This Drop Western Rigging does not float like the Center Fire rigging does. Because the rigging drops down you will need a much shorter cinch and you do use the pin.
